- What does your typical day look like?
From greeting employees and guests to scheduling happy hours, there’s one consist element in my job: helping people. I do everything from setting up for breakfast and planning upcoming team events to making sure regular orders of office snacks and supplies are on their way. My days are always busy, but continually offer up new challenges and experiences. My job allows me to problem solve on complex issues that help my coworkers navigate their days.
- What excites you most about your job?
I’m always excited about the people! I love how simply listening to someone and helping them get what they need makes their lives a little bit better. I value making people feel comfortable and heard in their workspace. We laugh and we love here at Shipt – it’s a great community to be a part of.
- What did you do before Shipt?
Before Shipt, I worked as a marriage and family therapist. Through that job, I learned that I have a passion for helping people and using my ability to listen to people’s problems, think critically and discover the best solution for everyone involved. I knew I wanted to apply my experience wherever my career went, and my role at Shipt has been the perfect opportunity for me! Whether it’s a tangible solution like helping employees find the resources they need, or something more nuanced like lending a listening ear, I’m able to use my previous experience and make a positive impact on our team.
- What’s always on your grocery list?
The office grocery list always includes avocados, cold brew coffee, and flavored water. I love getting all of the staff picks and seeing my coworkers’ faces light up when they see their favorites in the fridge. For my personal grocery list, coconut water and frozen pizza are staples in my house. I’m so excited for when Shipt is available in San Francisco – I can’t wait to use it, both for the office and myself!
- What’s the most unexpected item in your fridge right now?
Instead of my fridge, I’m going to tell you the most unexpected thing in the Shipt SF fridge: Sriracha Mayo. The Shipt team loves their hot sauces and I’m always surprised at the new condiment concoctions people come up with!
- What’s your favorite place in your city?
My favorite place is Twin Peaks, a beautiful neighborhood in San Francisco with sweeping views of the entire city. When the weather is nice and the fog clears, I love going on a long walk in the hills, taking in the view and getting away from the city noise. I also love Redwood Regional Forest in the East Bay, which is closer to my house in West Oakland. Honestly, I make any excuse to be outside!
- If you could deliver groceries to anyone in the world, who would it be?
The obvious answer to this question is Beyoncé! I think she would order pancake mix and blueberries, honey (because she’s the Queen Bey), and of course, lemonade.
- What’s your secret weapon?
My secret weapon is my ability to stay organized while multitasking. It can be easy to let something fall through the cracks, but I’ve learned to stay organized even when I’m juggling a lot of requests and projects. It’s a unique ability that’s allowed me to grow and thrive here at Shipt.
- What’s your favorite Shipt memory?
I think my favorite Shipt memory was moving into our brand new San Francisco office. We’re constantly growing and we decided to move offices to accommodate all of the wonderful people that make Shipt SF possible. For the new office, I was able to contribute my ideas for how the new rooms should flow. Seeing everyone’s faces and how amazed they were when they saw the new office absolutely made my day! We celebrated with a huge brunch that I organized. It was a very special day.
- Complete this sentence: I love working at Shipt because….

Working somewhere I am constantly encouraged to try out new things and use my problem-solving skills has been a perfect fit.
