Time for skincare: When making face masks at home, or using any new skin care products, always do a spot test to make sure you won’t have any negative reactions. This is especially important with harsher ingredients, like lemon juice, that should be used carefully. 

Anti-Inflammatory Mask

This mask works to reduce redness and irritation from everyday toxins. The soothing creaminess of Greek yogurt and aloe vera calm the skin while the matcha powder lightly exfoliates. 

Ingredients 

2 teaspoons plain Greek yogurt

½ teaspoon aloe vera

¼ teaspoon matcha powder

Directions

 1. Mix all ingredients together until smooth. 

 2. Gently apply to clean, dry skin and let sit for 10 minutes.

 3. Wash off with warm water and pat dry. Follow with your favorite moisturizer or skincare routine. 

Clearing Mask

Turmeric is rich in antioxidants and is used around the world to help with many skin-care concerns from acne scars to inflammation. Add a drop of lemon juice for additional clearing power. 

Ingredients

2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt

½ teaspoon honey or maple syrup

¼ teaspoon turmeric 

1-2 drops of lemon juice (optional)

Directions

 1. Mix all ingredients together until smooth. 

 2. Gently apply to clean, dry skin and let sit for 10 minutes.

 3. Wash off with warm water and pat dry. Follow with your favorite moisturizer or skincare routine.
