Helpful Hacks for the Perfect Summer Picnic

Happy summer solstice! The longest day of the year calls for a proper picnic, and we’ve got you covered. Packed with fresh fruits, ice cold drinks and a sandwich big enough for the whole family, these hacks will make your picnic prep a summer breeze. With all the cooking done in advance, you’ll have nothing left to do this weekend but head out to your local park, enjoy the fresh air and leave the grocery shopping to us!

Summer Picnic Hacks


Sheet Pan Sandwiches

  • Focaccia bread loaf
  • Sundried tomato pesto
  • Mozzarella, sliced
  • Roasted turkey, sliced
  • Tomato, sliced
  • Arugula
  • Avocado, sliced
  • Cooked bacon, chopped

Chocolate Filled Strawberries

  • Strawberries
  • Chocolate, melted
  • Sea salt

Fruit Infused Ice Cubes

  • Raspberries
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries, sliced
  • Basil, sliced
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • Lemon, sliced
  • Blackberries
  • Mint, sliced


Sheet Pan Sandwiches

  1. Halve your focaccia bread and evenly spread sundried tomato pesto across the interior.
  2. Layer mozzarella, turkey, tomato, arugula, avocado and bacon, then top with other half of focaccia.
  3. Slice evenly into 12 square sandwiches, keep refrigerated on sheet pan and easily serve!

Chocolate Filled Strawberries

  1. Cut the stem off of each of the strawberries and with a small knife carve out the center of the strawberry.
  2. Using a spoon, fill the strawberries with melted chocolate and top with sea salt.
  3. Refrigerate until chocolate solidifies, then serve and enjoy!

Fruit Infused Ice Cubes

  1. In an empty ice cube tray, fill the first four slots with raspberries and blueberries, the next four with strawberries and basil, the next four with cucumber and lemon, and the last four with blackberries and mint.
  2. Fill the tray with water and freeze until solid, about one hour.
  3. Serve ice cubes with sparkling or still water and enjoy a refreshing beverage with a delicious kick!
