Hunger Action Month™

September is Feeding America’s Hunger Action Month™, and Shipt is joining the fight against food insecurity

We’re committed to fighting hunger and food insecurity in each community we service. Last year we donated 16,000 canned goods to Feeding America food banks in our communities from our Hunger Action Get1Give1 food drive. We’re ready to contribute even more in 2016 with help from our awesome Shipt Family.

Here’s how you can help:

From Saturday, September 17, to Saturday, September 24, we will have a special category, Get1Give1, in the Shipt app with special canned goods and non-perishable items. Every item purchased from this category will be matched and donated to your local Feeding America food bank (up to $15,000).

So this week when you fill your weekly grocery cart on Shipt, check the Get1Give1 category for your canned goods and non-perishable groceries.

It’s that easy! You get one, and you give one.

I am a member. Has shipt ever considered helping low income seniors. I live in a 250 apartment complex of low income seniors. These seniors could really use your service as most of them dont get to go shopping. Every time I get a delivery there are always some in the lobby who ask the delivery person about your service. Please think about getting the message to seniors. Thank You

Hi, Maryann! We sure love to lend a helping hand. Our shoppers often carry cards and can provide more information about using Shipt. Let us know if you have anything in mind! 🙂
