Q&A with Patrick K. – The Shipt App gets a Revamp

Our engineering and product design teams have been hard at work over the last year to improve the shopping experience to make it even easier. We sat down with Director of Member Product Design, Patrick K., to learn more about the new app experience and what other exciting features members can expect later this year.

What will our members be most excited about?

PK: You will see immediate improvements to how fast and easy it is to navigate and build an order. You’ll also notice a new navigation tab at the bottom of the app where you can navigate in and out of pages with ease, so you can shop in even less time than before. 

What else is new? 

PK: Our research has shown that a majority of our members will begin an order at Buy Again. Our design team took notice and optimized it to make even easier to access. So we created a new My Items tab – it’s a combination of Buy Again and Favorites that makes it easier for you to access the products you’ve previously ordered in one step. 

What’s next for the Shipt app?

PK: Now that this new update is complete, we also have a few new features we’ll be rolling out in app updates later this year. We can’t reveal much more, except that many of the features are exactly what our members have been asking for and have been designed with saving time and ease-of-use in mind.
