3 Ways to Take a Break This Summer

The sun is shining, school is out, and the pool is at the perfect temperature. That can only mean one thing – summer is here!

But between taking vacations, shuttling the kids to camps, and, of course, keeping up with the daily 9-5, summer seems busier than ever.

As your calendar fills up, make sure to schedule some time to relax – even if it’s just for a few minutes. We’ve got a few suggestions about how to make the most of these long days and our friends at Snapple want to make sure you have the perfect beverage to sip along the way.

  1. Take a technology timeout. We know, easier said than done. But find some time to shut off your phone, close your computer, and turn off the TV. All those minutes we spend checking email and scanning through social media add up. Rededicate that tech-free time to take a walk, read a book, or try a new recipe. With a bottle of Snapple’s Takes 2 to Mango Tea by your side, this plan is crazy enough to work.
  2. Try an afternoon staycation. Who says you have to hop on a plane to take a vacation? Take advantage of all your hometown has to offer by pretending you’re a tourist for a few hours. Visit local attractions you might normally ignore, check out local walking tours, and try new restaurants. If you’re really up for the challenge, try taking a half day from work and fuel your local adventure with Snapple’s Half and Half.
  3. Pack a picnic. What’s more quintessentially summer? Find a special spot with plenty of shade, and fill a basket with all your favorite treats! Stock up on sandwiches, salads, cookies, and Snapple’s Peach Tea for a perfect meal al fresco.
