Sweet and simple snacks for those snowed-in winter days

While kiddos love hearing the magic words “Snow Day,” for parents, we know it can throw off your schedule. Instead of spending their days at school and afternoons playing sports, you’ve got some stir-crazy kids to contend with from sun up to sundown. And after the chores are finished, board games played, and Netflix watched — there’s only one thing left to do: make snowed-in snacks.

Yogurt Blueberry Kabobs

Stick 8-10 blueberries on skewers and place onto baking sheet.

Cover each skewer in greek yogurt, until blueberries are evenly coated.

Sprinkle granola on top of skewers.

Freeze for 2 hours.

Serve cold, and enjoy!

Banana Sandwiches

Peel bananas and cut into equally sized slices.

Spoon hazelnut chocolate spread and peanut butter onto separate banana slices, then stick together (like sandwich halves). Stick skewer into each banana sandwich.

Freeze for 1 hour.

Melt chocolate using a double broiler, and dip frozen sandwiches to coat in chocolate. Dip into various combinations of nuts.

Let cool, and pass around to all those stir-crazy kiddos!

Parfait Bites

Sprinkle a small handful of granola into the bottom of each ice cube tray. Fill each cube with greek yogurt almost to the top.

Add chopped strawberries and blueberries to the top of each cube.

Stick half a popsicle stick into the mixture, straight up and down.

Freeze for two hours, and dig in!
