All You Need: 1 stick (1/2 cup) of softened butter (Butter should be completely softened or slightly melted. To soften butter directly from the refrigerator, heat in microwave unwrapped for 10 to 15 seconds); 1/4 cup water. Preparation Instructions: Combine frosting mix and butter in large bowl with mixer on low speed for 1 minute or until blended, scraping bowl constantly. Add water to bowl. Mix on low speed until combined, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on high speed for 30 seconds. Scrape bowl after 15 seconds. Cover and refrigerate frosting for up to 2 weeks. Tips & Tricks: Add 1/2 teaspoon almond extract when preparing frosting mix. After frosting cake, sprinkle with toasted sliced almonds for an Almond flavored delight. Make luscious lemon frosting by beating 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon peel and 1 teaspoon lemon juice into the prepared frosting mix. Add 1/2 teaspoon mint extract to bowl when preparing frosting mix. Frost cake, and then sprinkle with 1/4 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips for Mint Chocolate Chip flavor. Prepare a delicious Raspberry filling for lager cakes by combining 3/4 cup mashed fresh raspberries and 1/2 cup prepared frosting mix. Frost top and sides of cake with remaining buttercream frosting.
