Merlo, Italian for Blackbird, is our family name. And like our Italian brethren, we have a heightened appreciation for the grape. That's why we chose the rich alluvial soils of beautiful southern Trinity County to plant our vineyard. With sweltering days that give way to chilly nights, temperature swings of fifty degrees or more allows our vineyard to enjoy similar weather conditions to those that have made the Napa and Sonoma Valleys famous. Our wines are well balanced, with old fruitiness, intense aromas and maintain a beguiling complexity. Alcohol 15.4% by Volume.
