Cooking Instructions: For tender, fluffy rice: rinse rice under running water until water runs clear. Combine in a 3-quart saucepan 2 cups of water, 1 cup uncooked rice and if desired,1 teaspoon salt. Bring to a boil. Turn heat down low and cover with a lid. Simmer 20 minutes. Remove from heat. Allow rice to rest covered for 3 minutes or until all water is absorbed. Serve. Refrigerate any unused portion. Note: For high altitudes. Use slightly more water and allow 5 minutes longer cooking time. Refrigerate any leftovers. Store in a cool, dry place, away from strong odors.
