If a shopper or driver ever feels unsafe while delivering, the ADT services available within the Shopper app allow them to quickly connect with a dedicated ADT agent and receive support for emergency assistance in two ways.
- Request a call from ADT: This option connects you to an ADT Security agent who will call you and stay on the line with you until you feel safe.
- Request 911 assistance: This option will trigger a silent alarm to let ADT know to dispatch emergency services to your real-time location. ADT will send you a text message letting you know that 911 has been dispatched.

Regardless of the weather, we always encourage shoppers and drivers on the Shipt platform to prioritize their safety, which means only claiming orders they feel comfortable completing.

Our 24/7 support team is also always available via phone, live chat, and email if you ever need to drop an order for any reason.
Regular Communication
We regularly share in-app messages with shoppers and drivers in areas where severe weather is expected, keeping them informed and up to date with what we’re hearing from local officials.
Managing Demand
Based on weather conditions, reports from shoppers and drivers, and guidance from local officials, Shipt will pause orders in impacted areas until it’s deemed safe.
