A 1596. Secateurs are the pruning shears that shape the vines - a tribute to the workers who are already crafting the wine during the cold winters of the Cape. This wine is made by the Badenhorst Family who have been producing quality wines for three generations in South Africa. The grapes were hand-harvested from selected old bushvine vineyards on granite slopes. In the cellar traditional winemaking methods are followed with natural fermentation in old casks and concrete vats. The detail results in wines with fine complexity and a unique character.
