Emmolo Merlot is from vineyards in Napa Valley, including land that has been in my family for generations. My great-grandfather came to Rutherford from Sicily in 1923, starting one of Napa Valley's leading grapevine nurseries. My grandfather planted vineyards here in the 1950's, and my mother, Cheryl Emmolo, began making Emmolo Wine in 1994. Today, I'm honored to put my own stamp on the Emmolo style. My goal with Merlot is to bring out the full potential of this varietal. I'm working to create a wonderfully rich, dark and well-balanced wine - one that delivers a taste and character that are both unexpected and extraordinary. - Jenny Wagner.
