Our South Ridge Syrah is grown in our vineyards in the Estrella Hills area of Paso Robles and is a blend of two clones: French Chapoutier and Australian Shiraz 2. Aromas of cherries and boysenberries complement the balanced flavor which is generous, yet soft. Our Syrah is an excellent companion for herb-seasoned poultry and wild game. J. Lohr Estates wines are best characterized by their intense flavor and remarkable balance. Jerry Lohr practices the French system of planting each grape variety in its ideal appellation.
