Easily replace worn out carpet with durable, easy to clean Cap A Tread in colors that coordinate with your flooring.. Type 1 Kit glues down over existing treads up to 1-1/8 inch thick. Highly durable and designed to cover existing stair tread and riser. Cap A Tread is MDF covered with a durable laminate or vinyl; riser is engineered wood with a durable cover. Cap A Tread measurements: 47 inches Long x 12-1/8 inches Wide x 1-11/16 inches Thick and Riser measurements: 47 inches Long x 1/2 inch Thick x 7-3/8 inches Wide. Compatible with both closed-end stairs and stairs with one open side (when a bullnose is trimmed from a Cap A Tread and applied to the end - see instructions). Don't forget to order an additional riser and stair nose for your landing to complete your stairs. Use only urethane based adhesive to install Cap A Tread and riser (sold separately).
